Mira Murati was born in 1988 in San Francisco, United States however her parents are of Indian origin. The 35 year old Mira Murati was born and brought up in San Francisco, United States. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College.
In June 2018 Murati joined OpenAI, the company behind AI powered chatbot ChatGPT and was recently promoted as CTO of the company in May 2022.
Previously she has worked for many positions in the company as VP of Applied AI and Partnerships from June 2018 to December 2020, SVP of Research, Product and Partnerships from December 2020 to May 2022.
She started her career as a Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2011 and later worked for many organizations; Zodiac Aerospace (2012-13), Tesla (2013-16) and Leap Motion (2016-18).
ChatGPT has made a huge buzz across the globe. However, as per some media reports experts are raising concerns about the danger of using AI based chatbot ChatGPT.

“Artificial intelligence (AI) can be misused, or it can be used by bad actors. So then, there are questions about how you govern the use of this technology globally. How do you govern the use of AI in a way that is aligned with human values?” she said in an interview with the Time magazine.
