India’s first Apple Store launched, Apple CEO Tim Cook inaugurated the BKC Store

India's first Apple store opened at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai's BKC today.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has inaugurated Apple’s first-ever retail store in India at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. With the launch of its official store in India, Apple will become a full-stack player in the tech market, managing everything from manufacturing to retail.

The first official launch of the Apple store, while Apple is celebrating more than 25 years in India.

Apple will soon open its second store in New Delhi’s Saket on Thursday.

Before that, Apple could not open a store in India because of the regulatory restrictions around single-brand retail. After the launch of these two stores, Apple will become the full-stack player in India.

Now Indian customers can directly visit the Apple store to buy iPhones, MacBooks and other products.

“One of the main things that inspire me are customer notes. I religiously look at customer notes every morning, starting around 5am or so. If you are in the business like we are, of creating technology that really enriches people’s lives, you wanna know what it’s doing”, Tim Cook said.
