National Engineers Day is celebrated across India on September 15th each year on the birth anniversary of Sir M Visvesvaraya. PM Modi tributes on Engineer’s Day to commemorate engineers and administrator M Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.
On this Engineer’s Day, Prime Minister Modi greeted all the hard-working engineers and administrators on the Engineers’ Day. He said that engineers are the backbone of our Nation’s progress with their innovative thinking and tireless efforts towards their jobs.
PM Modi’s tributes came on the day, commemorating the birthday anniversary of Engineer and Administrator Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

He also pays homage to M. Visvesvaraya for his dedication towards innovation and inspiring the generation for a brighter future.
About Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya
Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was one of India’s pride and greatest minds. He was born in 1861. He is well known for his contribution towards Engineering and Science. He has worked on various projects, including the construction of dams, flood control, irrigation networks, etc. He received India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955 for his outstanding contributions to the field of engineering and science.
